Buried Secrets

After a failed bank robbery in Bodie, California, Helena Barnett awakens buried alive without any memory of who she is or how she got there.
Haunted by the traumatic death of his mother when he was a teenager and his fiancé just three years ago, resurrectionist Oren Douglas keeps himself on the move to avoid the chance of forming emotional attachments. But his carefully structured life is derailed when he and his cousin, Casper, dig up their third and final corpse of the night in the Bodie Cemetery-only to discover she's still living.
After a doctor reveals Helena's shocking identity and past, Oren feels an overwhelming sense of responsibility to protect her. He invites her to live with him and his cousin in Sacramento and gives her a new name, hoping she can start a happier life.
