Grian is a watcher and has run away to hermitcraft in season 6, he has kept the fact that he is a watcher a secret for years and does not plan to stop. He never met the evils (Ex and Hels) but knows about them from X (every new hermit is told about them incase they return) but he is not as afraid of them as everyone else, he is a watcher after all.
Ex (evil xisuma) and Hels (Helsknight) Have been trapped in the void for years. Tho they don't know how long, it's difficult to tell time, but they know it has been a long pain-filled time, but then there is a light, is that there way out?!
This takes place in hermitcraft season 9, there is not a specific time is s9 just some point when the rift exists.

Grian is just a normal hermitcraft guy. He goes around pranking people and having fun, always with a good personality. But then something joins the server, determined to dig into Grians mind and change him forever. Grian starts hearing a voice in the back of his head. Grian is having a great time in season 7 so far, until the rest of the hermits start to get more annoyed at him. Grian starts to have a more dark and depressing personality. He one day stumbles across a base in the nether that he had never seen before and decided to investigate it. Grian finds both Hels and Ex inside of the base and runs away. After a week, Grian runs into them again but this time something inside of him wants to trust them and befriend the two. Grian starts to avoid all the hermits after they start to be mean to him. Grian soon starts to have a monotone color palette like the demise game in season 6. Ex and Hels soon find him in his base like this and find out that the hermits were the cause of him being like this. Something happens to make Grian go over the edge and latch out at one of the Hermits. They'd gotten out. After being stuck as gladiators in that god-forsaken arena for who knows how long, they got out. Now the only problem is staying out, but how? None of them knew which way the exit was, so they scattered. Even if not all of them made it, it would be worth it if some of them could make it out.
