Love Spun In Webs: A Spider-Gwen Fanfic

Following the untimely demise of her closest friend Peter Parker from an overdose of his self-inflicted Lizard formula, college student and aspiring drummer Gwen Stacy struggles to cope with his loss while continuing her nightly exploits as New York's controversial superhero Ghost-Spider as her way of honoring his memory, thwarting common criminals and dangerous supervillains alike while avoiding the NYPD's radar who blame her for Peter's death.

Fortunately, a random chance encounter with a recently transferred Noah Nash changes her turbulent life forever, as the pair begin developing blossoming romantic feelings but are equally reluctant of confessing those lingering feelings due to their various insecurities and Gwen's ongoing grief for Peter's death keeping her locked in a deep seemingly inescapable depression.

Will love prevail over tragedy? Will Gwen forgive herself for her perceived failures? Will she reveal her alter ego to her fledgling love interest? Will her heroic reputation be forever tarnished for a crime she didn't commit? Delve in to find out.

Based on the Marvel Comics character created by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez who originally debuted in the pages of the comic book Edge of Spider-Verse #2 (Sept 2014) and this iteration is also loosely inspired by her appearances in the animated Spider-Verse movies.
