Scared of the dark

Littel 12 year old Devina and her older brother Joe, 15 years of age , was left alone in a end of the world crisis when their parents were killed in their childhood home.
They had grown up to fight for their life and do things they never thought they would ever have to do.But desperate times calls for desperate measures.
Will they be able to live with what they've done or will it eat at them until there is nothing left to eat at. They meet many people on their journey but none stayed to help the 2 clueless young adults and their dumb plan on going somewhere that is isolated from the world that they've grown to hate so much. Will they succeed or will they die trying.
