Strays. Aren't we all?

Just walking the world hand in hand with people, but always alone.

With properties under our names, but always without a home.

With many possessions, but always carrying nothing but our own half of a soul that we were once told it's simply not enough to truly be whole as a single soul.

But are we? Ever fulfilled by someone's existence shifting our perspective?

Is it justified to hope for another to be what we were so adamantly made to believe it was missing since before we were even existing?

She was always like this. Understanding the layers of human psychology. She knew there's no such thing as a true 'forever'. Forever has an expiration date.

She knew better than planting seeds and waiting to grow roots in the soil of another one's heart.

Strays will come to you for affection, but never stay for love.
