Harry Potter, a Slytherin? Preposterous!

A Harry Potter AU in which he didn't meet Draco at Madam Malkin's and never sat with Ron on the train. With the 'loving' hands of the Slytherin house, Harry really steps into the traits that are known for the house. We get an insight into what the hat meant when he said the Slytherin house could help him achieve greatness. Harry is not light or dark at the beginning, and he feels rather inclined to be on a third side - his own. Whether that stance changes, we'll have to see.
I'm writing this fic mostly with the personality of canon Harry, but with Slytherin influence. I'm a Slytherin, and so I feel I can accurately represent the house.
For the beginning, no pairings, but pairings may come up as the story evolves.
Draco will be a 'prat' like in canon. I love Drarry, but Draco is an ass at the beginning, and little Harry will initially still see him as a spoiled bully like Dudley. He may receive redemption, but that's up to him and his pride.
This story idea has been stuck on my mind for weeks and I really need to write it.

After successfully managing to gain custody of Harry, Remus and Sirius have raised Harry well. He knows that he's loved, and well-treated, and he's friends with Ron and Neville. However, a visit to Gringotts on Harry's tenth birthday to get him confirmed as the heir to the Potter and Black Houses proves that Dumbledore has done something awful to Harry, and they realise they must remain cautious of him.
