"Just leave me alone, abandon me like everyone else!" she exclaimed, breaking down.

I wanted to soothe her and hug her, but I couldn't because of what I had done three years ago. I am the only reason she is at this point, and it broke my heart to see her like this. I wish I had a time machine so I could go back and save all I had done and what had happened that day.

I kneeled in front of her, tears streaming unintentionally from my eyes, and I caressed her foot, saying, "How can someone abandon their love?" I whispered, but deep down I knew I was the one who had betrayed his love, his heartbeat from himself. I was the stupid one, but now I'm going to fix all of my faults and get her back, no matter what it costs.
