Once you passed out you woke up to see who found you your brother this is when you discovered your powers.
Gale made a portal to roadside cliffs by the crashed Nautiloid ship, You and Gale go though and are met with a group of people.

Your first impression on the group is that they are all welcoming if you can fight and hunt everyone trying to get to baldurs gate. infected with tadpoles all wanting different things.
Astarion took interest in you, your pretty and smart but inoccent and new to your power at first he thinks it something he could take advantage of. But will it change as his feelings grow for you??
