We were best friends throughout our childhood. It was rare to see us apart, for years we stuck by each other's side, never wanting to leave. 
I love him, not just as my best friend.
And yet, as luck would have it, it was forced away. We didn't see each other for years. When I returned to him, we were in year 10, and he had changed. His hair was long, he was stronger and taller, he had other friends.
But..
You could see in his eyes, he had changed. His once shining, beautiful green eyes, now lacked life, they were dull, he was depressed.

Due to my love for both this ship and Neko AUs I bring you a combination. This is boyxboy so don't like, don't read and all that jazz. I stay strictly fluff. Since I can't write a description to save my life here is the first paragraph: Eren had just graduated with an art major and was living in his own apartment. Shiganshina was a decent sized city, with enough inspiration for the young artist. Most of the people he knew lived there so to him it was perfect. His art sold pretty well online and he had a part time job at a local pottery shop. Life had pretty much calmed done as he adjusted to a new kind of normal. (Hey A/N 6 years after writing this, This book was a mistake its still up for nostalgia reasons, so if you choose to read it i am so sorry. I plan to rewrite it with a bit of a different and more developed plot line on my ao3 Latibuleii, I wrote this in middle school please don't judge too harshly)) In a world where people have wings, each persons wings different in some way, their wings were like finger prints, there were no other wings that were the same. Eren, a high school student that has one midnight blue wing and one grayish white wing. They have beautiful golden streaks that match the gold in his eyes. No one had wings like his, most people had bright colors like red, pink, light blue or green, there were others with miss matched wings but his were the most unique, one dark, one light. No one had seen streaks in such a bright gold. People adored his wings he had so many girls that loved him but he ignored them, he was popular but stayed with his smaller group of friends. Eren is often happy and out going. A new boy by the name of Levi showed up, everyone was surprised by his wings, they were like Eren's except instead of gold it was silver and the tips of his wings had dark crimson red. Levi had a emotionless personality. He did not talk to many people even though he immediately got the girls drooling over him but he rejects all of them. He meets Eren, and Eren is able to befriend him. Their wings mean something don't they?
