Krystal Isaak has had a hard life. With divorced parents and not enough money, the 16 year old lives in a dilapidated trailer in Pulaski, Virginia with her wheelchair-bound mother. But she doesn't let it get to her. In fact, she doesn't pay her poverty any mind. She only wants to help others. So she writes a letter to her favorite band, One Direction, suggesting that they perform a benefit for the disaster-stricken counties of Pulaski and Montgomery, where tornadoes have made the bad conditions worse. When they recieve it, will they agree, or will they ignore a girl's only wish for Christmas?
