Now, Kiera, and her dog Ocean, live with her Uncle Sam. She trains everyday, waiting for the day that The Shadows locate them. Her life is about as normal as it possibly can be for someone like her. Then, a transfer student from Russia, who goes by the name Gabriel, transfers to her school.

From the moment the first word leaves his mouth, Kiera's world starts to spiral uncontrollably. Her mind is always in a constant battle with itself. Can she trust him? Can she really trust anyone anymore? Secrets that she never thought were possible, are revealed. Each one adding another brick to the wall she's building around herself.
