Enough || Quackbur
So many heartbreaks. How many heartbreaks can one man take? It hadn't been many, but Quackity lost count quickly. Could he have another chance at love? But with who? After so many years of feeling dead, inside, and outside, he forgot how it felt to be truly happy. To be alive. To love. He completely forgot, after decades of limbo, he forgot how to truly live. Perhaps someone out there could make him feel himself again. All of this is written in a timeline that is close to the canon timeline that we are shown, but it is not exactly the same as you will read later on. This is all characters, even if Quackity's real name is used a few times, this is NOT shipping the CC's. No smut (SURPRISING FOR MY USUAL READERS!), just fluff, and angst. After uploading all of this from my notebook, I now realize how short this story really was and that the chapters are below 1,000 words, which is different for me considering I'm a pretty detailed writer... regardless, this one is for all of the readers who like shorter stories with a smaller amount of parts!Concluida

But nothing's truly perfect, and over the years his family broke apart along with his sanity. By the time he was 27, he had lost all hope in the world, nearly blowing up a motel and himself. Before he could, he broke down and was sent to a mental institution nicknamed Limbo. . . . Alex never knew his birth family, he was too young to remember them. When he was 3 he was placed into a foster system where 4 years later he was adopted by his foster fathers, Sam and Ponk. They already had a son, George, and Alex loved him, they got along really well (at least that's what Quackity thought) When he started High school he fell madly in love with an older boy, Johnathan, although he preferred Schlatt. The two dated for a few years, Alex growing more and more aware of who he was dating, he ended up leaving the man and 3 years later taking in his son after Schlatt died of a heart attack. . . . On Wilbur's 13th year in the institution, he was sure he would just be stuck in this Limbo, left to wait until he finally died, no one could help him and it seemed that no one wanted to help him. Quackity is sick. Like, extreme-fever, feeling-like-death kind of sick. And although his only staff member has no bones and is very dependent on others, he can still run Las Nevadas...right? Wilbur Soot, Quackity's long-time rival, can see just how easily the country will crumble without some extra help. So he steps in, taking time to care for Quackity and assisting a bit on the business side of things. And somewhere along the way, the two of them end up catching feelings. While Wilbur plans to confess, Quackity is torn between his past relationships and his future ones. Wilbur realizes that the only way to make this work is if he can get Quackity to trust him. Can Wilbur succeed? Will Quackity recover within the standard seven to ten days?
