Well, what if Cinderella is now an undercover secret agent working for the NSDT (National Security Defense Team). And the mean stepmother, and sisters are just clueless people along the way. To make it more interesting, let’s say that Prince Charming in actually a criminal involved in smuggling precious national treasures. Now that’s a different story.

Sweet Dreams: A Modern Fairytale
This is inspired by a writing project I supervised when I worked with an elementary student. This writing project was a group project to make their own spin on a fairy tale assigned to the group. It had to have all the main points of their fairy tale, start and and with the common phrases of a fairy tale, and it had to have their own creative spin. My student did Cinderella, and it was so fun to work with him and his group, I wanted to make my own. Our dear Cinderella loves to bake, but she's not exactly looking for love when an opportunity to make a name for herself comes up. As for Prince Charming, he is looking for love, just not in the usual fairy tale fashion. And as usual, there's some extra mischief from the step family, royal family, and fairy godmother.
