WHEN THE RAIN FORGOT TO FALL
I wrote this because I needed to survive it. Because there are some feelings too big for silence. Some heartbreaks too heavy to carry alone. This isn't fiction. This is my heart, broken open and rearranged into verse. "I saw you standing where the sidewalk curves, and suddenly my chest knew different words." - That's how it started. A glance. A stranger. A feeling I couldn't ignore. "You said we needed to talk. Those five words, I knew. I already knew." - And that's how it ended. Not with fire. With silence. I won't tell you that time heals all wounds. I won't say everything happens for a reason. I won't pretend heartbreak makes you stronger. But I will show you that: You can survive what you think will destroy you. You can break and still become beautiful. You can love someone and lose them and still be whole. You can be your own happy ending. I wrote these poems with tears on my face. I wrote them on good days when I forgot to hurt. Every word is something I actually felt. Every line is a moment I actually lived. "You are not broken. You are breaking open. And that's where the light gets in." - That's what this taught me. "NOT ALL LOVE STORIES ARE WRITTEN IN WORDS... SOME REMAIN TRAPPED IN SILENCE." SHE WAS POWERFUL. FIERCE. UNSHAKEN. THE WORLD ADMIRED HER STRENGTH. BUT NO ONE SAW THE WEIGHT SHE CARRIED-THE BURDEN OF A LOVE THAT WAS NEVER SPOKEN, HANDS THAT ALMOST TOUCH BUT NEVER DO. NEVER HEARD, NEVER GIVEN A CHANCE. SHE LOVED HIM IN THE SPACES BETWEEN WORDS, IN THE PAUSES OF CONVERSATIONS NEVER HAD, IN THE LONGING OF BIRTHDAYS SPENT WAITING FOR HIM WHO NEVER CAME. "WHY DO THE ONES WE LOVE THE MOST BECOME THE ONES WE LOSE THE FASTEST?" "HE WAS THE MOON SHE REACHED FOR, BUT MOONS ARE NEVER MEANT TO BE CAUGHT-ONLY ADMIRED FROM AFAR." SOME LOVES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE HELD, ONLY FELT... WHAT HAPPENS WHEN LOVE IS NEVER RETURNED, YET NEVER FADES? WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE HEART BELONGS TO SOMEONE WHO WAS NEVER REALLY YOURS? Letters the Moon Forgot to Send

This collection is for those letters, for every emotion I sealed away in silence, for every moment that deserved a softer ending. Each poem in Letters the Moon Forgot to Send was written under the quiet company of the moon - my silent witness, my only listener. These pages carry the warmth of longing, the ache of things unsaid, and the bittersweet beauty of letting go. They are confessions wrapped in starlight, small pieces of my heart that I once tried to hide. Some poems are about love that stayed, others about love that left. Some are about the versions of ourselves we outgrew, and the people we couldn't keep even when we tried. But above all, these poems are about remembering - that even when the world forgets, the soul remembers. I wrote these words not to be perfect, but to be honest. To remind anyone who feels lost that they are never truly alone. That somewhere, someone else is looking at the same moon, holding the same kind of ache, and still choosing to hope.
