Sadie, who grew up in California, moves to Oregon in the United States. There she meets a boy named Alexander, who grows up with her.

Sadie was a straight up introvert, with eyes of an emerald and brown hair that fell down to her hips. Her father's and sister's death would forever have an effect on her life.

Alexander had eyes of a cloudy sky with the sunlight peeking out, and behind the clouds their was a glimpse of the bright blue sky.

Alexander's feelings were everywhere, a piece of his life crumbling away, the drama of divorced parents slowly coming back, and most of all, Sadie.
