Tariq continued gazing at her, observing how she looked when she woke up. Her hair was slightly tousled behind her back, and he felt an itch inside to rub her head and mess up her hair even more. Her clothing was slightly messy, and it was riding up stomach, while her cheeks were colored with a faint pink tint. Her brown eyes were wide, staring at him in shock. He really wanted to laugh right now...how can someone look so cute? Alas, Tariq knew if he started laughing now maybe all the progress he made with Ayla would fly out the window due to him embarrassing her too much. He held his laughter in and sat up with a force, bringing his face close to Ayla's suddenly. "I fell asleep. Why, are you the only one allowed to sleep while watching a show?" He took the time while speaking to fix Ayla's clothes, ruffle her hair, and immediately stood up to go to the restroom. If he stayed there any longer, staring at Ayla's bunny-like expressions, he didn't think he could handle it anymore. He was all ready to be a big bad wolf. ------------------------------------ In a chance meeting at a cafe, Ayla and Tariq's love story begins, sparked by a blind date arranged by their elders. Gradually, they fall in love and are ready to leave their painful pasts behind, but scary discoveries intervene. They learn they were once past lovers with a tragic history and are currently characters in a book plot, cast as villains against Remus and Corinna, the original main characters. Can they break free from their villainous roles, outwit the original characters, and secure the happy ending they both deserve? Join them in their journey filled with twists and turns as they strive to reclaim their love. This is a story mainly about love, with repeated ideology of overcoming the past and past struggles. The past may be already written, but what's stopping you from using that as a lesson, and changing your future? You surely won't be disappointed!

Lin Qiyan was born into perfection - wealth, intellect, and a family name that demanded nothing less than obedience. When her parents arranged her marriage to Zhao Yichen, a stoic heir from another powerful family, she accepted without protest. Their relationship was built not on love, but on duty - a quiet coexistence wrapped in respect. But the morning after their wedding, Qiyan's life is stolen. Her soul is torn from her body, cast into a cruel world where she becomes a nameless girl with nothing but scars. Trapped with abusive parents and stripped of her identity, she learns what it means to suffer, to endure, and to break. Years later, when death finally releases her and she awakens once more in her original body, the world she knew has not paused for her pain. Her husband is distant, her family unchanged, and her heart no longer whole. Haunted by memories of violence and silence, Qiyan must learn to live again - to find warmth in the man who was once a stranger, and to rediscover love in the quiet between two broken hearts. A story of loss, healing, and love that blooms from the ashes - The Silence Between Our Hearts is a tender, heartbreaking journey of what it means to return, not as who you were, but as who you've become. --- If someone comes up with a better photo, please comment. And I'm working to get the full story out as fast as I can, so bear with me, I'm going to try to get 5 to 10 chapters a day out. Any comments on the book would be encouraging.
