The story is a fanfiction set in a universe where Kal-El/ Clark Kent never existed, so there was never a Superman to protect the universe. In this universe, Jor-El and Lara-El had a daughter that they named Kara-El. Kara-El was sent to earth to save her when Krypton's red dwarf star went supernova and completely evaporated all traces of Krypton. Kara was found, adopted, and raised by Jonathan and Martha Kent. She was called Kara Kent. She is in High School and meets Lois Lane.
