The Distance between Us || PURINZ
Yunjin's school life in Yangpyeong Academy takes a turn when she meets the new transfer student, Kim Chaewon. The two are complete opposite sides of the spectrum; Yunjin being a complete outcast, and a known 'delinquent'-- Chaewon being smart and proper, already popular at school for hanging around the Student Council and for her good looks.
Once their worlds collide, they navigate these new feelings of wanting to get to know each other when they shouldn't, and deal with the heavy burdens of their personal lives.

Chaewon's hand shifted on the table, now resting against Yunjin's fingers. "Over the years, I've forgotten who I am. I thought if I stuck to what was familiar- what others wanted- everything would somehow just... work out."
She paused for a moment to lean her head against her friend's shoulder. "Then I met you. And you just... laid it all out like it was easy. Like you had all the answers."
Her brown hair tickled Yunjin's cheek. The tall girl stared at the floor beneath them, exhaling a chuckle. "I don't have all the answers," She said.
"But you gave me the right questions," Chaewon replied, the tips of her fingers moving across Yunjin's hand. "Fulfillment doesn't come from what other people see. That's what you told me that day- and I realised that I wasn't really living at all."
It was as if she'd forgotten how to breathe. Yunjin's hand was frozen on the table as she felt Chaewon's fingers settle between hers. Something so simple, yet so terrifying.
"Sometimes you lose someone and find yourself. I think the opposite happened to me," The tall girl whispered. "I found someone and lost myself. And then I lost everything."
Chaewon raised her head to look at her friend. But Yunjin didn't dare look back.
