The Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2023) guidelines are a crucial framework designed to provide a foundation for safeguarding children in educational settings.  The Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE 2023) guidance is periodically updated to address emerging concerns and provide comprehensive guidance on how educational institutions can safeguard children.  KCSIE 2023 brings notable updates that reflect the current landscape of child protection.  Some of the significant changes include:

Online Safety: Recognising the growing influence of technology on young lives, KCSIE 2023 places a stronger emphasis on online safety.  Schools and colleges are now required to have effective strategies in place to protect children from online risks, including cyberbullying, grooming, and exposure to harmful content.
Mental Health and Well-being: The updated guidance acknowledges the interconnectedness of mental health and safeguarding.  Educational institutions are encouraged to have a holistic app"
