AKA: Eddie/Kas is a morally grey vampire thriving in his villain era on a mission for Vecna, but accidentally starts developing feelings for his latest target.  

In 1986 Valentina Griffin finds her mothers dead body in the Chicago home she grew up in. Valentina takes custody of her sister, Amelia. Life goes on and Valentina tries to start her life over again and even finds a fiancé. But everything changes when their estranged father dies mysteriously and she's forced to move to Hawkins, Indiana to take over her fathers bar. In the Upside Down, Eddie Munson returns as a vampire who goes by Kas and has only one friend left, Max Mayfield. Kas Eddie serves as the right hand to Vecna and is ordered to bring to Vecna the one person who threatens his existence. Valentina has no idea she's that girl. Kas Eddie hunts his newfound prey, but what happens when instead of turning her over to Vecna, he realizes he's attracted to her? What happens when he starts to like her?

Turn back now if you're looking for something breezy and light. This is a dark romance full of toxic tendencies and twisted love, but should still be pretty funny. There is no white knight hero. So if you're looking for a soft, lovable Eddie, this books not for you.
