Caitlyn Rivers and Laysha Myers have been best friends since they were 7 years old, and every winter since Laysha moved to Charleston, South Carolina, Caitlyn has gone down to spend Christmas with her best friend and her family, and while she always has a good time, there's always one person who manages to push her buttons-Laysha's older brother, Landon Myers, who is older than the two best friends by 3 years.

Throughout the ending of November and the entire of December into the New Year, it is a constant back and forth between Landon and Caitlyn that is masked as hatred, but only those on the outside and one on the inside- can see that beneath the mask of "hating" one another, there is a spark between them unlike any other. After a tragic car accident involving Landon, the two are somehow slowly brought together as Caitlyn assist in taking care of Landon while also managing to get him back into and keep him in the Christmas spirit.

As feelings grow and the two become more aware of what they want, they have one thing riding against them: time.
