Can we truly discern genjitsu, or is our understanding inevitably tainted by our perspectives?

What happens if all you know turns out to be a mere fabrication? A lie. Red herring. There are pieces that do not fit. A missing link. But what is it? 

Why does it feel like fate is nothing but a sham, and the play was written as such long ago? We are all marionettes. The string overseeing us has long snapped but the life was built upon memories, preceded by memories. Memories that are becoming hazy. 

But the existence was lied for the better good. Lies that have brought peace and plenty. Lies that led to a better tomorrow. Is it okay to unearth the skeletons inside the closet now that it has been caught? Should it be let out? The ugly truth? The mansion is built on graves, and we can sleep cozy in ignorance as long as we wish. Say, should we? Shall we? Will we?
