Kintsugi: The Japanese art of repairing damaged pottery by mending the broken pieces with resin dusted with gold, silver, or platinum powder. Translating to "golden repair," the artform embraces the beauty of the broken or damaged rather than hiding it.

Leo and Leila Gomez have gone through Hell and back multiple times. The second they were in custody of their stepfather, their lives turned upside down. Experiencing things no adult, let alone *child*, should ever have to go through, the thirteen year old twins learned to accept the fact that there was no escape. They only needed each other, after all.
When their step-father suddenly dies, the twins are shocked to learn that this whole time, they had five older brothers. Brothers they didn't even know existed.
The Agosti brothers, elated at the arrival of their baby siblings, immediately realize something is wrong. Leila can't speak to them. Leo can't last a day without lashing out at them. The twins push them away, steal food, and refuse to be separated from one another.
While the Agosti brothers try to fix the broken pieces and figure out their younger siblings' secrets, they also hide their own.

Trigger warning: This story may contain heavy themes such as physical, mental, and sexual abuse; child neglect; violence; homophobia; and mental health struggles such as self loathing, panic attacks, sensory overload, etc. Additionally, mature language/swearing is used heavily as well. Please read this at your own risk :)
They balance each-other out. One the calm, the other the storm. Except when they don't. Except when she loses it and makes the place burn...literally.
Who knew a burnt building would lead to three lost brothers across the country and a big ass house...after being on the run for almost a year.
The twins are in for a crazy ride, but they're in it together. Always. Pinky promise.
Will it be enough?
TW: abuse, SA, r*pe, and mature language/scenes.
(I suck at descriptions, but it would mean a lot if you gave my book a try! <3 )
