"Now you owe him an apology," I said seriously as my eyes scanned the room for Brent. Unfortunately, he was nowhere in sight. I was starting to feel uncomfortable from Evan's hold on me, too.
"Remind me to thank that rabid monkey some time," he murmured into my hair. I could feel him smiling.
I frowned. "Brent is not a rabid monkey!"
"Yeah, whatever. I think a banana would do," he whispered, nuzzling my neck in an attempt to distract me.
I elbowed him in the stomach, trying to break free from his hold.
"Ow! What the hell? I want to sleep. Plus, a deal is a deal," he said lazily.
I looked up at his face, almost straining my neck in the process. "I'm hungry."
"You're lying, you just had lunch," he said in a bored tone.
"No," I huffed, trying to push him away. He didn't budge. I continued to stare in an attempt to annoy him.
Suddenly, his lips tugged up into a mischievous smirk and his eyes lit up. "How about some ice cream, monkey girl?"
