"Local High School Student Reported Missing: Community Joins Search Efforts..." The newspaper headline read. As I kept looking through, I saw a familiar name. "Olivia Reed." I turned to Charlie. She wasn't convinced, even though the evidence was right there. "Come on, it's the same name as the one in the book! It's gotta be her!" I said, continuing to read.

You don't expect to unravel a murder when curiously checking out an old yearbook, but that's exactly what Ava does. She finds an old yearbook in her school's library. It seems old and out of place, yet she decides to check it out. Even the librarian is confused as to how it got there, but she lends it to her regardless. What Ava doesn't expect is to find a mysterious set of circled and crossed out individuals throughout the book. The identity of the owner is unknown, but based on clues, she has a feeling they're responsible for all of this.

Karin accidentally gets involved in a murder case at her school. It all started when she accidentally found the body of the school janitor at her school behind the warehouse. She still clearly remembers the blood pooling, turning the grass red. The body lay sprawled with several stab wounds. The corpse looked like a small animal, helpless before its predator, dead just like that. Before discovering the body, she crossed paths with a man. A tall man with a mask and dark sunglasses covering his face. The man also wore a hat to cover his hair. His clothes appeared to be layered, and he carried a large bag that seemed very heavy. However, there was something the man could not hide. The clear scent of blood emanating from his body. Karin had a sharp sense of smell and was certain the odor she detected was blood. Chaos erupted in the school environment. People started forming their own opinions. Karin was the one most affected. She was often questioned about the body she found. People kept asking her to recount the story. At that moment, a new teacher arrived, diverting the attention of the school community. A young teacher with a handsome face that drew everyone's attention. The murder case faded away just like that. The police couldn't find any more clues. When people started to forget, Karin felt something was off. The young teacher looked strange in her eyes. Karin felt that the teacher was constantly watching her. The teacher also had a blacklist that he showed to his students. He said the book was a record for the naughty children. If their offenses exceeded three times, those naughty ones would be punished. That's when the next murder began.

Kayla is about to fake her own death. The teenager has met a couple of strangers that claim to be experts on pseudocide, and they've told her what to do. And poor Sean Reilly, the exchange student living in her house, has stumbled on the plan. When Kayla begs, Sean gets roped in. I mean, only with little things, nothing too serious: lie about when he last saw her, and hide a few facts from the police. Except, things fall apart in a hurry. When Kayla vanishes, the police suspect Sean of being more than a concerned friend. As evidence mounts, detectives zero in - there's no way out for Sean. They're arresting him for Kayla's murder. His one chance at freedom is to follow in Kayla's footsteps and reach out to the enigmatic strangers who make a life out of pretending to be dead. They call it enlightenment, but Sean calls it crazy. At least they have a plan, even if the first step is to kill himself. Will Sean have the strength to take the plunge? And if he does, who will come out the other side?
