Every year on All-Hallows-Eve, all the town could talk about was the Scripter. It was known to be the town's version of the bogeyman, except for them, the Scripter was real.

Esme and Alora Yarrow were the town beauties. At just fifteen, they had grown to be the fairest of all. Some speculated that the girls were demons from Hell, some believed them to be cursed, while the rest thought them to be straight from the fairy tales they grew up reading. They couldn't have been farther from the truth.
