13-year-old Kate Sword stone was once a random girl... until her village burnt down, and she became adopted by royalty. After a mysterious burn mark, she finds herself bonded with a baby dragon- a creature her kingdom is at war with's kind. on top of this, anyone bonded with a dragon is executed. so, she must escape and learn the secrets of the dragons... and their riders.

2. Originally a NanoWriMo project,  I pretty much wrote the entire thing in one Sunday afternoon... so, yeah. horrible pacing.
3. I sucked at writing battles.... a few of those happen.

A few seasons ago, I participated in NaNoWriMo with the goal of writing a story a day for the entire month of November. I was able to do this and ended up with well over 50,000 words for the month. This book ended up with around 43K words, but it is missing a few stories. I didn't want to put anything that goes with "Pearls of the Mother" in the "Illogies." Each day I sat down to write, I had a different mood or something else I was thinking about, and I let that guide my writing process. I think a couple of these may end up with follow-on stories or maybe even books of their own. I hope you enjoy these; I know I do.
