It had been a long time since you had registered pain in the way that you were currently feeling it. The dull ache near your temple was the first sensation you noticed as you attempted to straighten from your slouched position. You could feel an uncomfortable hardness beneath you, your numbed glutes and thighs gaining some sensation back as you shift your weight. This brought relief to your aching back, causing you to breathe out softly. It wasn't long before you felt the fibrous texture of rope binding your hands together in your lap. The room was cold and the soft trickle of water caused your ears to perk up. You didn't dare to open your eyes for a moment. Eventually, you realized that even if you could open your eyes, sight would be impossible as you were blindfolded.
