Technology is a wonderful thing, isn't it? Humanity has come so far, from sticks and stones to micro-processors and sub-atomic computers. Circa 2300 and we've finally done it. Superluminal propulsion. The stuff that every science-fiction writer prophesized, once and for all, was within our grasp. It was a test drive away from commercial use, nothing could go wrong... And that's exactly when everything did go wrong. Two light years multiplied by two light years multiplied by two light years multiplied by two light years, an endless cycle that broke the formula programmed into the NavCom. The ship that was only meant to briefly travel to our closest star was now on a collision course with the very edge of the universe. But nobody would know. Nobody would see.
