"With the reward he got for his wickedness, Judas bought a field; there he fell headlong, his body burst open and all his intestines spilled out. Everyone in Jerusalem heard about this, so they called that field in their language Akeldama, that is, Field of Blood." Acts 1:18-19 ••• The year is 2100. North America and Asia are at war. After an unknown source pisses off the newly acquired leaders, Asian military forces release their biggest weapons on the opposing continent with absolutely no mercy: 6 one hundred megaton nuclear bombs. 90% of the population is destroyed. The only ones to survive are those on the outskirts: the small ring-like areas blown apart but unaffected by the radiation. One of those people is Alexandra Blake. Bruised and desperate, she must fight her way through the wreckage to find her family. She meets several others along the way, including a scarred, beautiful boy named Luke and his clan of warriors. But as tensions rise, the death toll does too, and it becomes clear that her family is the least of Alex's problems. There's something bigger going on, something massive, somehow involving Luke and the soldiers he leads. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves.
