It's been a week after the events of the great earthquake in Hawkins and the night Eddie died. Steve has moved Layla into his house after Eddie's trailer was split in half. She had been held up in Steve's room the whole time, she doesn't eat, sleeps most of the day, and won't talk to anyone or leave. Steve lays next to her every night to watch over her. Nothing seems to change till one night, Layla hears a voice coming from outside calling her name. She thinks perhaps it's hallucinations brought on by her grief.
