A week has passed since the music competition and school has finally become a much more welcoming environment for the music club. Although Hailey Austin still finds herself interested in Jake Sterling, she realizes that pursuing him isn't worth it. Knowing that she deserves better, she vows to move on and to prohibit any feelings for him to prevent getting hurt. Jake, meanwhile, has grown fond of Hailey after spending time with her and realizing that she's always been there for him. He's determined to get her to see him as more than just a friend, even if it means breaking down her defenses and winning her affection.
