Natalie Ross's life got turned upside down a year ago when her parents got divorced. Eight months later things got worse when her and her mother moved into her mom's new fiance's house, where not only he lives, but so does his daughter. Natalie never gets to see her father who is always out of town, and on top of all of that she found out her boyfriend of two years had been cheating on her for weeks. To make matters worse, her ex had been cheating on her with her almost step-dads niece, so he's going to be at her mother's wedding, which she's just thrilled about. Jake Harris is the star football player of his school, however his grades aren't as good. His dad gets sick of him practically failing all of his classes and puts his foot down, telling him he's no longer allowed to play football or go to parties until all his grades are up. This leaves him in search of a tutor who can work fast and get him back on track. After Jake and Natalie bump into each other in the school hallways and they both learn of each others struggles, they decide to team up and fake date so Natalie can have a date to her moms wedding so her ex isn't the only one with someone new, and Jake gets the best student in their school to tutor him, it's a win win for both of them. Accept after a while both of them start blurring the lines between real and fake and real feelings start to emerge. DUAL POV ;-)
