Mika's Leap of Faith

Mika, a determined 19-year-old, wants to win the Gecko climbing competition and get a scholarship to become an engineer. During the competition, she meets Joshua, who tries to distract her but fails. Joshua pushes Mika off a dangerous edge, but she recovers and keeps climbing. The audience is shocked by Joshua's actions, but they admire Mika's strength. Joshua feels guilty and leaves the trophy and scholarship for Mika, along with an apology. Mika accepts the apology but reminds Joshua of the seriousness of what he did. The story ends with Mika hoping that Joshua is able to prove to himself that he can be a better person.
