The battlefield was littered with human and demon corpses, and a crimson, damp fog obscured the view of the only two people still standing. The one in front was clad in a thick layer of darkness, his eyes burning crimson with apathy and contempt for all living things. Behind him stood a stunning young girl in silvery armour, a ray of hope in the middle of so much death.
"My Lord, is this not enough?" the girl asked.
The man slowly turned around and brushed his fingertips across her jaw, drawing her face close to his. Darkness and light blended in their exchange of gazes, creating an odd yet somehow harmonious sight.
He grinned.
"No, this is just the beginning."
