16th Century. Joseon. Three years after the Imjin War. A woman who lost everything when she was a young and orphaned child, must fight for survival against a mysterious yet deadly epidemic that has spread across the country. One that raises the dead and brings them back with an insatiable hunger for human flesh and blood.
During her fight for survival, she meets a man who is investigating a strange illness afflicting his father. Only to learn that he is Lee Chang, Crown Prince of Joseon and heir to the throne. Seeing his genuine care for the poor and lowly, Ha-na decides to follow him and serve under him, believing him to be the change this famined and war torn country so desperately needs.
However, it is not only this nightmarish disease they have to face, but the treacherous Haewon Cho Clan and their conspiring Second Queen Cho. To end this monstrous epidemic, they must fight the war of dethroning their merciless foes and restoring peace to Joseon by crowning Lee Chang as the rightful King.
But has Ha-na signed up for more than she bargained for when feelings begin to develop between a future king and lowly peasant amongst this horrifying outbreak?

This is a fanfiction based on the Netflix K-Drama series titled 'Kingdom'.
I do not own anything apart from my original character and her respective storyline.
All rights go to Netflix (owners of the drama series) and Kim Eun-hee (author of popular South Korean webcomic 'Kingdom of the Gods'. Which the TV series is based off).
For the dialogue in this fanfic, I will be using the subtitle translations, not the dub translation. Just as I feel the subtitles are more accurate than the dub.
