For most of the universe, humans were a rarity and seen as a threat. Something to view with both horror and mild awe, a destructive race with a thirst for blood. And while some diplomats were trying to change that opinion it wasn't particularly easy, especially with Res Novas around.

The team of seven were an anomaly in itself. Seven humans/human-hybrids who had somehow made it off Earth without any records? It normally took several cycles worth of work on the necessary paperwork alone, not to mention the need to learn Intragalactic Common and often a few more languages just to qualify.

For the team however, life went on as usual, casual squabbles, constant missions, meetings and briefings that nobody enjoyed, a few stabbing threats and of course team bonding activities. Though for them team bonding usually ended with an arm being thrown across the room, or someone having a snack hitting them dead centre in the forehead. But they cared for one another more than they thought was possible most days, and as long as they were together they were happy.

This was inspired by a dream that I have had about Shadow the Hedgehog. 🤪😎) It started with silence. Not peace-sterile, suffocating silence. The kind that lives in places built to erase people. Beneath the earth, hidden from the world, three children were held by G.U.N. Not patients. Not prisoners. Projects. Subject SH-01: Shadow. Discovered after a meteor crash, too powerful to destroy, too dangerous to set free. They called him an anomaly. They drained him for energy, locked him away when he wouldn't break. Not for study anymore-but for containment. A ghost in the basement. Subject Y-12: Yelena. Fourteen. Human-mostly. A mutation born in fear, twisted into a weapon. They tried to control her power with punishment and sedation. But she never bent the way they wanted. Subject K-09: Kenai. Twelve when G.U.N. took him. Orphaned, discarded by the system. When he defended himself, they saw potential. Injected him with a serum. Turned him superhuman. Cold drills. Colder praise. They didn't need to break him-he already was. They were never meant to meet. Each buried in different levels. Each alone. Until something went wrong-a breach, a blackout, a moment of mercy. And they found each other. Now fugitives, they drift together-Kenai, Yelena, and Shadow-hunted by the very place that made them. G.U.N. calls them unstable, dangerous, corrupted. But what they never accounted for was this: They're stronger together. Not monsters. Not mistakes. Just kids who survived. They're not friends. Not exactly family. But they're all they've got. And for the first time, They're not just trying to survive. They're not trying to disappear. They're trying to live. Fighting for the right to exist. Fighting for the ones still locked behind glass. Fighting for a place to belong. And maybe-just maybe-becoming the very thing G.U.N. never meant to create: Hope.

"Those aliens are not my concern, the Earth and her populations are. Now, Callisto of the Scout Regiment to Salutem, as a citizen of this planet and a soldier under my command-" "I stopped being a soldier a long time ago. And those aliens have done nothing to you, you didn't even know they existed until I told you about them. I joined this mission not because I was ordered to, but because I wanted to carve my name in history. But I will not mark my namesake as a murderer of the very first species we have found that is on par with human intelligence! If my legacy is to be the protector of those you refuse to acknowledge, then so be it." The room hissed and flowed with whispers and gossip between the different board members, like a waterfall being heard through thick earmuffs. The only voice to be clearly heard was Director Striker himself. "You are rooting for a lost cause, soldier. It is the manifest destiny of us humans to reach out and touch the stars. And if the only way to touch those stars is to sacrifice a few savages, then that is what we must do." Callisto felt her anger towards a man she once admired swell in her chest and wash through her veins with a burning fire. He was proposing mass genocide simply because he wanted what belonged to them. The wheel of history turns, but nothing is ever new it seemed. "Have you read a history book in your life, Director Striker? Manifest destiny is used a mere few pages before a genocide. It's not a motivation, it's an excuse." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Fair warning: this is my very first original story so please be kind to my baby, she is a lifelong passion and a labor of love. •••COMPLETED••• •Please do not copy or post anywhere outside of these pages.

Viktor didn't expect to be abducted by aliens when he went to school one morning, and he certainly didn't expect to be thrown into the alien equivalent of a dog-fighting ring, either. But when fighting for his life quickly becomes his routine, will he be able to muster up the strength to break that mold? Especially when the fate of humanity rests on his shoulders? *** The Vokkrus, a warrior alien species, go to Earth with the intention to 'rescue' the human species from their dying planet. The catch is that they believe humans to be nonsentient and incapable of intelligent thought. They are treated as nothing more than the common animal. They are a commodity, something to fawn over and ogle at. Humanity's strength and stamina are nearly unrivaled on this new planet, and when Viktor is taken to an alien fighting ring, he quickly dominates the competition. Mercy has no place in the arena. When Viktor is adopted by the leader of the Vokkrus, an intimidating alien whose intentions are unclear, he is forced to shed his wariness and convince the alien king to save humanity from his accidental oppression. *** Please don't advertise other stories in the comments! It's been almost a hundred years since Earth's civilizations fell, leaving only ruins and memories. Long before the collapse, they began taking humans, but now, everyone knows who they are and they fear them. The few who manage to return from their captivity tell stories of how these creatures treat humans like animals or children, tending to them like pets or slaves. Most survivors live in hidden cities, avoiding the ancient ruined cities at all costs. But not Jace and his crew. As a group of Stray Humans, they've made the decaying cities their home, roaming the forgotten streets, never staying in one place for long, and bringing all their skills to the table. They are a family, working together to make sure those things, Aliens, never take another human as long as they are near. When the aliens of A.C.R. (Animal Care and Rescue) find a new group of humans wandering the ruins of a large city, they think it will be an easy capture. But they soon learn that these particular humans have more willpower than most. They dodge every trap, disappear around every bend, and even manage to take some of the already captured humans with them. The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. No matter the cost. Warning - This story may have -Self harm -Rape -Abuse -Suicidal thoughts and actions -Violence and gore -Uncomfortable scenes (If this isn't your first alien pet book, you know what I'm talking about)

Bit has been on the streets of Night City since he was very young. Escaping from the Tyger Claws with his strange abilities, now he does his best to get by while dealing with intense chronic pain. Sensing a very bad pain day, Bit follows his mysterious instincts to a spot that rings with promised safety. Little does he know that this decision would change the course of his life forever. safety, comfort, treatment, self doubt, danger, and maybe even love are laid bare. human hybrid x minotaur gang leader & orc gang leader This takes place in a slightly different version of the Cyberpunk 2077 world. With all the tech and augmentation, is anyone really surprised that humans aren't the only things kicking around? Elves, orcs, minotaurs, dragons, and more roam the streets of Night City alongside humans. Hybrids are common, but human hybrids are rare. This is thanks to the fact that humans are either incompatible or hyper compatible with other species. Meaning that when humans mate with someone from another species they either won't be able to have children, or the children will either be human or their other parent's species. So human hybrids are stupid rare.
