The world as we knew it perished on the day the portals opened. Humans waged a valiant struggle, nearly emerging victorious, yet the intervention of higher beings led to our defeat. Whether we inhabit the streets, dwell in homes, or coexist with these aforementioned supernaturals, our rights have been severely curtailed. Some toil for meager wages, while others endure lives of servitude. Those fortunate enough to attract attention are lavished with luxuries, albeit at the cost of their autonomy. Transitioning from slaves to pets, each individual abides by stringent regulations that yield both recompense and penalties.

Personally, I abhor the notion of assuming roles for others; I relish the unrestrained existence of the streets and the liberty it affords. Although challenging, this lifestyle aligns with my preferences. Gaining sustenance proves relatively uncomplicated, as I've forged connections with numerous non-human entities who readily assist me when necessity arises.

Expecting the status quo to persist, circumstances take an unexpected turn as I find myself besieged by entities seeking my capture. Evidently, they represent a legal faction tasked with procuring humans for favorable domiciles. Faced with a choice: a) Embrace a comfortable abode, complete with sustenance, hydration, and limited autonomy b) Plunge into the water, embarking on a desperate bid for survival
