Anabelle Candice- is just like any normal 17 year old girl. Well... sorta. She tries her hardest to keep up with school, take care of her siblings, and still have time to make figure skating practice. Her parents are traveling sales agents. While they are away Anabelle is responsible for her 11 year old sister Callie and 6 year old brother Max. She doesn't know how much longer she can take care of her siblings while still trying to begin her figure skating career. When the rich, new neighbors across the street invite them over for dinner, she doesn't say no. It seems the whole family likes her except for the 2nd oldest son. She doesn't what she did, but its not like she cares, she has too much to worry about anyway. 

Alexander Calliahan- is anything but a normal 17 year old boy. He is incredibly talented in the sport hockey. So when his family up and moves he's bitter about having to leave his team. To make it worse if he doesn't make the new high school's hockey team he could lose his scholarship offer's. His parents invite the neighbor across the street over for dinner and he finds himself being jealous of how easy it seems to be for her. He can't seem to stop envying her perfect life, so he decides if he just ignores her he'll stop thinking about her. He has way too much stress to envy some girl.
