a transcription of a story i wrote in 5th grade, from an old notebook thats falling apart. the shower thought turned ambitious murder mystery xenofiction that spawned my current story, The Wolves of Evergreen

just so you know, it is fairly directionless and will end in the middle of a sentence, but i still think its really cool and genuinely love the worldbuilding. i will likely incorporate some aspects of this such as the underground tunnels into TWoE

Keenkit always figured he and his littermates were normal kits who would all become apprentices and be able to train together. But when a strange cat takes his sister out of StreamClan on the day of their apprentice ceremony, he quickly realizes such hope has become impossible. Sunpaw just wants to prove to his clan, BreezeClan that he can become a great warrior. But it isn't as easy as it sounds. Even though his rival apprentice Slowpaw is much younger than him, he is always beaten in battle training and he can never catch nearly as much prey. His mentor doesn't make it any better either. Pounceheart is always treating him like some helpless kit and he worries he'll never be able to complete his warrior assessment. Being a healer who suffers from severe anxiety isn't easy, but Twitchpaw knows as long as her mentor is there, she can get through it. But as tensions rise between FlameClan and CliffClan, she's worried about the future ahead of them.

Disclaimer: First of all, I want to make clear that this is heavily inspired by Maltose's au, but in a different setting. Also, if you're familiar with West Woods from Moss-shadow, there's a little bit of that too, especially with the name Sliverstone. They are two different characters though. And overall, it's inspired by Warrior Cats, by Erin Hunter. This is a fanfiction I started writing when I was about 11, so don't take it too seriously. I wanted to post this here because ik that a lot of younger people use this and I'm more familiar with Wattpad in general. Also because I have a random ass fanfic laying around doing nothing so my brain decided to show the world this weird amalgamation. So here's what this story's actually about, brought to you by my overly anxious and somehow bored essence. A young housecat, Rusty, wanders off into the forest and realizes "woah this is cool and oh shit im important :D" but he has to face a lot of prejudice due to his origins. Will he manage to adapt to this harsh lifestyle or will he flee to his home again, where all his friends are? Will he escape from discrimination or face it head on? Follow this little man through his journey of becoming a warrior cat.
