But imagine, truly imagine if you are willing. If every face was a exact replica of your own. If your reward was subjugation. Constant drudgery. Homogeneity. The stifling of your inner spark day by day.

Mei Dian couldn't see past the white walls of the Jade Palace, past the doll like faces of her sisters or even past the endless labour she and the other Maids did day after day. But at the same time, she could not settle into it.

After defeating his 61st demon, Monkey King continues to vie for immortality. Chasing after this idea of power and adoration, unaware of the consequences his own actions bring onto the gods of the Jade Palace.
