. The Wages of Sin is an original novel that takes place in the 1930s during The Great Depression. After Lillian McNeil’s husband is imprisoned and her relationship with her best friend becomes unbearable, she runs away with the charming outlaw Calliope Johnson. From that point forward she is swept up in a dangerous life, as Calliope’s gang commits robberies, evades the police, and fights prejudice from the outside world.

Loosely following the events of the real story of Bonnie and Clyde, The Wages of Sin shows the struggle of complex people in a hostile, homophobic and racist world, and the value in being who you are truly meant to be.

However, that's all in the past. She has her own business, works hard and all-in-all, she's happy. For the most part, that is. As long as she still has her seclusion for which she has worked hard and values above all else, then she will be fine. If people would just stay away... Leah has been blind her entire life but never let it hold her back as she embraced it with open arms. She hasn't ever known any differently and life is great. Or at least, it could be with these new changes. Moving to a new town, Leah is excited to begin a new life, but her family isn't exactly shy about their protectiveness of her. If only she could be somewhere, anywhere where people would treat her just as they would anyone else. As their paths cross, Leah and Trinity's lives are forever changed, some changes for the better and others still up for debate.
