the world is corrupt, reality is distorted, and ruin is imminent. Fear, despair, deception and oppression run rampant through the veins of our society. When the foundation of our world become blurred and distorted, those that are trapped in the fringes and cracks of it are the most vulnerable to its morphing. Their dreams are crushed, their happiness is robbed, and slowly but surely they succumb to despair and resign themselves to a life they cannot control, or they may even lose that very life and fall into oblivion.
Among the nobodies unnoticed by the world around them, two are exceptional. A Wild Card of fate, if you may. One of them is the Trickster, a brave challenger of the tyrants that impose their unjust rules upon the weak, though he is trapped in a game where victory is not an option, and defeat means death. The other is his savior, the Swan, a graceful soul that desires prosperity unattainable to her, burdened with glass slippers that crush her feet to fit them in, the picture of perfection has rendered her a broken defective doll that cannot fullfil her purpose.
Though their lives seem to lead to certain doom and despair, their hearts are strong and hold the potential to change, and it may be what this corrupted world needed for cleansing...

(Y/n) (L/n), a Japanese girl who had moved to Paris to start over her new life had been chosen to hold the Bat Miraculous and become one of the heroes to protect the city from the villain Hawkmoth. She was happy with her new life after having a horrible family hurt her for their selfish desires. That happiness is stripped away by people who keep tormenting her. She hoped her friends didn't believe them by having known her long enough, but her joy and trust is shattered when they all turn their backs on her. Her new life is torn to shreds and chooses to return to Japan to renew again, living on her own as she attends a new school with entirely new people. There she meets new people once again and despite her fear of being betrayed, she made a friend with someone who stays by her side. Along the way, she gets dragged into a whole new world that will require her to use her Miraculous again to protect her new friends and save their futures from ruin. However, people from her past still wish to stay connected to her despite what happened. With the world of distortions rampaging around, she will need to call all her strength to get through it all.

The akumas are becoming more dangerous everyday and with the threat of Hawkmoth increasing, they are going to need help to bring him down. Marinette wins the class a three week trip to Gotham so that her teammates can come with her, but also wonders how she is going to survive the trip without strangling Lila just to make her stop talking. During the trip Marinette meets friends, both new and old, as well as some new enemies. Marinette also seems to catch to eye of a certain Robin. Will identities be revealed? Will the Miraculous team finally bring down Hawkmoth?
