Princess Adeline was comfortable in her high-class royal life, and even more comfortable when she was causing mischief within it.
Adeline had the most fun when she was doing something she wasn't supposed to, and the best part was, no one could stop her. Being the eldest daughter of Queen Ariel and Prince Eric meant she had an excellent advantage. Being half mermaid and half human meant a whole lot when she wanted to get her way. Using her abilities to her greatest advantage, Adeline believed no one could knock her off her preferred course.
That was until... he came along.
With Adeline's stunts growing more dangerous as merfolk disappearances rose, Queen Ariel and King Eric had to do something to finally keep her in line for good. Seeing as rules weren't always taken seriously and her abilities made it nearly impossible to keep her in line, they needed something they hadn't tried before.
Luckily for them, months prior, King Ben began implementing a new system to help those on the Isle make it to Auradon ethically, and just as they needed someone like him, he was ready. After devoting his life to working towards making it to Auradon, the son of the infamous Captain Hook himself was given the position of a lifetime.
The position of Princess Adeline's personal guard, to keep her in check, keep her where she's supposed to be, and keep her out of harm's way no matter the consequence.
Harry Hook needed the job and took it very seriously, but Princess Adeline wanted nothing more than for him to leave her alone.
With an unknown danger lurking just underneath the waters and tempers running high, would they be able to find common ground in time?
Or would they become each other's worst enemies?

Princess Brielle Florian and Prince Benjamin Florian are both the next rulers of the United Kingdom of Auradon, both being crowned on the same day. Hooked on a Demigod
A Harry Hook x OC fanfic I began writing in 2017 with the release of the film Descendants 2. The story follows an original character named Harper (daughter of Hercules and Megara) and her being sent to Auradon for her senior year, but things take a turn when she decides to follow Mal back to the Isle of the Lost. The plot of this fic follows the plot of D2 with quite a few things changed, then continues with Harper's original story after Mal gets her happy ending. To be completely honest, I began writing this fic when I was 16 and had the biggest crush on Harry Hook - I wanted to see myself in Harper's place (100% a self-insert because who gave Disney the right to make the pirate that hot?!) Since then, it just became a story I invested myself in and continued adding on to for... the next 8 years? I never actually intended on sharing it anywhere or with anyone, but I thought now since it's finished (and over 100,000 words) I might as well give others the option to read. I've told multiple people in my life that I'd post it one day without saying anything, so if you found me, congrats! This is the elusive 100,000 word Harry Hook fanfic! My writing style has obviously changed a lot since 2017, so apologies if my youth reads too much in the earlier parts of the story. I went back and edited some things just to keep a good flow throughout. Overall, I tried to keep the general humor & magic of a Disney Channel original movie while adding some suggestive / adult themes to capture what really goes through an 18 year old's mind (FYI: this fic contains no real smut!) To be honest, I've kind of separated this story entirely from the movies in my head, as it truly has been my little passion project for the better half of a decade. Yeesh. Anyways!
