Irene Miller knows things change. She'd be a fool if she didn't know that. And of course things are going to change once you start high school. But she didn't think that everything would change on one random night of the second semester of her 10th grade.
Beacon Hills changed and went whack real fast at the beginning of the year, but she didn't think that it would pull her right into the middle of the mess, driving her insane only to finally make her understand why.
Why, that's a funny question. One she has been asking for far too long and far too often.
Why did her best friend since kindergarten start acting weird?
Why did he start to keep secrets?
Why did the police accuse him of murdering his father?
Why did he change over the night?
Why did he start to ignore her and why the hell was he now hanging out with Derek Hale acting like a wannabe bad boy from a trashy romance novel?
And why, for the love of chocolate chip ice cream, did her life have to fall apart right before her eyes?

Or

In which Irene Miller loves her best friend, maybe a little bit too much.

"And for our last question," the interviewer smiles, "if you could title a book about your life, what would it be?" The audience claps. My answer is immediate. "Heather." The host leans in, interested but seemingly confused... "Why?" ---------------×---------×----------------- What begins as a high school crush spirals into a crisis that shatters everything Sara thought she knew-about love, loyalty, and herself. Seventeen-year-old Sara Davis struggles with self-worth and confidence. She's reserved, self-critical, and constantly battling the voice in her head that says she's not enough. Her best friend Heather, bold and unshakable, is her anchor-the one person who sees the light in her and pushes her toward it. Then there's Elijah Garcia-smart, athletic, wealthy, and effortlessly magnetic. For as long as Sara can remember, he's been the definition of perfect. A silent fantasy. A distant dream. Encouraged by Heather, Sara finally pursues her feelings, and for a moment, it feels like she's living her own fairytale. But beneath the glittering surface lies a darker truth. As hearts break, jealousy festers, and betrayal seeps into every corner of her life, Sara finds herself unraveling. Secrets long buried rise to the surface, threatening to destroy everything she believes in. This is not just a story about falling in love. It's about falling apart-and the fight to piece yourself back together. TRIGGER WARNINGS: Depression, self-harm, abandonment, suicide, cursing, and other mature themes. [COMPLETED]

Remaining both physically & mentally intact within the confines of Beacon Hills wasn't always a struggle for Rachel Hale. There was a time when the town had been her home, a place she'd never so much as consider leaving for more than a short vacation. A time when she had a family, an actual home where she could feel safe at all times & a best friend she tell anything to. For awhile, Rachel was starting to believe she could have that again. Her time in London had come to an end as the beginning of junior year neared, and for a whole week, Rachel had believed that maybe, just maybe, she'd be able to continue on with the normalcy she'd had for the past two months. Beacon Hills had supposedly been the epitome of boring for the entire duration of her absence, and Rachel had truly believed it would remain so in her presence. Her brother had moved into a new loft, she was starting junior year with her best friends & no one was trying to kill them- it was everything she could ask for. But as the story goes, all good things must come to an end; especially when Rachel's friends & family are no longer the scariest things lurking in the shadows. New threats are in Beacon Hills & this time, they're a lot more sinister. An alpha pack wants Derek & they're willing to paint the town in the blood of everyone he cares about in order to get him; all while a dark druid is running about, adding to the body count with its ritualistic sacrifices. Innocent people are dying, time is running out & everyone seems to think Rachel holds the key to stopping it- unfortunately, they're forgetting a crucial piece of information. Reflectors are just as breakable as their object counterparts. [3A & 3B - Unspoken sequel] © 2016 // Aly aka @insatiabIe
