"I won't let you go"
The words were just a whisper which came out of a strained throat.
The hazel orbs of his eyes darted from side to side, something a powerful man as him would never be caught doing as it indicated any form of hesitation or fear.
"Not again,not ever"
The warmth of her tears pinched his skin as his thumb rubbed off another tear that strolled down.
When last did he see her cry this hard.
So soo many times in the past, and then there was that faithful day, when she had come to him,to talk about their child.
He recalled how much he hadn't been able to sleep for days, the image had kept flashing itself inside his head for weeks and it had left him restless,so much that he could barely concentrate nor do anything right, yet, each time she came to him, begged him,he always pushed her away, not because he didn't want her, heck!, he pined each day for her, however he pushed her away, because of his mere fear.
He was scared, he feared getting hurt,he feared letting her in again only for her to tear him into pieces until there was nothing left of him,but now, having being so close to loosing her, forever, he realised getting hurt by her wasn't his fear in the first place,it was having to loose her, having to watch her not by his side, forever, that was his original fear and it just took him a while to understand that.
It stung his skin when he wiped out another falling tear and it stung even more knowing he was whom caused it.
Her beautiful eyes appeared swollen,no doubt she'd cried a number, he truely deserved a
"How could you love me? I'm a monster."
I immediately stand up, pulling her up with me. Holding her gaze in mine as I trace along her cheeks and jaw, down her neck and back up again.
"You are not a monster, you never were. If anything you are a soldier Aella, a soldier who has fought for too long."
She stares up at me in silence, her eyes brimming with tears. I hate the sight of them, but I know that she needs to shed them, she's held them in for too long.
"You are one of the strongest people I have ever known my love. But please, when you feel like the world is going to crumble beneath your feet, let me be the one who holds you."
