At the age of 3, Adaline "Black Blood" Anderson was subject to her parent's deadly Project Angel experiments; leaving her forever twisted and left for dead. Without her parent's knowledge, she is saved by a mysterious young man. Years later -at the age of 15- Adaline sets out to exact revenge on her parents and save all the "silver blood" children they took for their torturous experiments with the help of her savior; and a rebel organization of Project Angel escapees she forms called The Undergrounds.
Experiments attempting to harness "special cells" in the kids. train them to be spies, assassins, etc. At first, experiments fail. Adaline's eyes and hair change color. DNA becomes warped. Gets locked away.
