After the fall Cas is human and living with Sam and Dean in the bunker. A lot has changed but the way he feels about Dean hasn't. His want to protect Dean hasn't, even if it's only nightmares he can fight for him now.
so this was inspired by a tweet from. @/fallenatic841. they had a really interesting idea and this started forming in my head. thank you for catching my imagination

The Winchester boys had lived next door to Novaks for as long as anyone in the sleepy little town could remember. Cas and Dean were always best friends, joined at the hip was an understatement. Please. Nothing graphic, just description from what my personal experience with all of it has been. Also, time is a weird thing in this book, it doesn't quite make sense. Just his dad knows that he is the hero. he starts losing everyone else as the job filds his life more and more. Sam hates him because he feels like Dean doesn't care about him. Cas is also distant. Dean has always had a big crush on Cas.
