It was the year 1834. Everything was prim and proper. It was all about the social status. I, being on the higher, had many responsibilities. Ever since I was about thirteen years old I knew that I was engaged to marry Liam Payne. Apparently his father's business and my father's business were going to come together. I guess they thought marriage was the answer. Who knew that a green-eyed, curly chocolate headed stable boy would change everything?

"You made me feel like I was crazy. You would never answer my questions properly. You made me a fool. I trusted you. Believed in you. And now..." Tears fell down on my face, but I wiped it instantly. I paced myself and took a step closer to him. I had my confidence back. "Answer me. And I don't want a vague answer. I want the truth. Now!" Liam gave a tiny nod. His lips were quivering. "I can't say." My heart sank. "Why not?!" My voice raged on. I walked to him. "I gave you everything. My hands. My lips. My h-heart." Tears fell down once more. This time, I didn't stop it. I grabbed his hand and held it against my chest. "If you love me, you can trust me." "I..." he started out to say. He put his free hand on top of mine and pulled it away. He sets it on his cheek. His eyes were getting puffy. "...I can't."
