Another pause as Levon tried to find a way to dispel the tension in the call. "Are you good?" Todd asked when Levon failed to form a sentence, and Levon realized how out of character it was for him to call Todd. There a was a layer of concern just under Todd's indifferent tone, and the protectiveness that seemed ever present in Todd when they were younger and Todd was always saving Levon from his problems. Levon's anger seemed to melt away at that familiar sense of security. "I'm good," Levon spoke finally and a soft smile spread over his lips. "Are you good?" "I'm good," Todd said gruffly. "Are we good?" Levon asked and Todd scoffed. "What we. There is no we. We're not friends." "Wouldn't want you as a friend anyway," Levon snickered. "You're kind of an asshole." I softly traced his lips with my finger and then slowly leaned forward until our lips were so close that I could feel his warm breath on my skin. I leaned in a little closer and pressed my lips against his. It's been a year since the accident. A year since Jamie lost his sight and Katherine died. They say that time heals all wounds but not for Aiden. The guilt is consuming him and no matter what he does or what anybody says he can't seem to forgive himself. Aiden has always gotten along with his younger brother Liam and his best friend Jamie; they used to do everything together and shared all they're secrets. The thing is that Aiden started feeling things for Jamie that he shouldn't and then the accident happened. Now he can't even look at Jamie without feeling guilty and his brother hates him. Both families are falling apart and when Liam decides to go away with Jamie's family to see Emma, Jamie's traumatized younger sister; Aiden scrapes up his courage and offers to keep an eye on Jamie. Genophobia
Book 2 in the Phobia Series: Book 1 'Monophobia' is on my profile. Genophobia can be read without it, but a lot of inside jokes, characters and events might be confusing. ~~~ Dante meets Flynn on one of the worst nights of his life, and he wants to forget about it altogether. But he can't shake the guilt, and wants to apologize to Flynn-mistake one, because what he didn't remember about that night was that Flynn is unbelievably charming. When they meet up to do exactly that, apologize, he realizes he is making mistake two: feeling an incredibly strong pull towards this mesmerizing stranger. He knows he shouldn't, but he can't help but feel this way. There's various reason as to why he shouldn't, actually, to sum up a few; his parents, his expected focus on his studies, and, of course, the fact he's seen Flynn kiss more girls than he's made goals. And that's saying something. And, last but not least, there's his genophobia.
